Since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic in March 2020, career-related services offered by the partners of the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board have continued to evolve to meet the needs of employers and job seekers in Hunterdon and Somerset counties.
The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Service Center at 27 Warren St., second floor, in Somerville is open for in-person, career-related services. Appointments are encouraged and customers who walk in will be accommodated as staffing levels permit. In-person career-related services at the Training Center at 6 Gauntt Place in Flemington also are available, with appointment-only services on Monday and Tuesday, and appointment and walk-in services available Wednesday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. To schedule an appointment or for more information, call 908-541-5780 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.

In addition, a virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted on Fridays, and virtual career-webinars presented by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board continue to be scheduled. RVCC Honors College Information Session

Local high school students interested in learning more about Raritan Valley Community College’s Honors College are invited to attend an Information Session, November 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. The event will be held in the Event Center at the college’s Branchburg campus.
Face masks are required in all RVCC facilities.
The evening will include information about admission to RVCC’s Honors College and transfer opportunities after graduating from RVCC. Students in the top 20 percent of their high school class who possess a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, or have a cumulative SAT score of 1100 or higher, are encouraged to attend.
Current Honors College students and Honors College alumni also will be on hand to talk with prospective students and parents about their own experiences at RVCC, as well as their experiences transferring and acclimating to four-year schools. The evening also will include information about the NJ STARS Scholarship program.
