Since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic in March 2020, career-related services offered by the partners of the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board have continued to evolve to meet the needs of employers and job seekers in Hunterdon and Somerset counties.
The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Service Center at 27 Warren St., second floor, in Somerville is open for in-person, career-related services. Appointments are encouraged and customers who walk in will be accommodated as staffing levels permit. Appointment-only in-person career-related services are also available throughout the week at the Training Center at 6 Gauntt Place in Flemington. In addition, a virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted on Fridays, and virtual career-webinars presented by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board continue to be scheduled. RVCC Information Sessions, Campus Tours

Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) is offering a General Information Sessions in February at the Branchburg campus. The sessions and campus tours are scheduled for Friday, Feb. 7, from 10-11 a.m., and Monday, Feb. 17, from 10-11 a.m and 1 to 2 p.m. These will be conducted in the RVCC Event Center (Room A).
During the sessions, RVCC Admissions specialists will provide information about:
- Enrolling in classes for a 10-week Spring Semester starting Feb 17, Summer Sessions or the Fall Semester
- Programs designed to help students transfer to top colleges and universities in New Jersey, across the country, and even in Europe
- Career training programs, designed in partnership with local industry, that can be completed in a year or less
- The admissions process
- Financial aid options and scholarship opportunities
- Free tuition for those who qualify, though RVCC’s participation in the New Jersey Community College Opportunity Grant (CCOG) Program
