Career-related services offered by the partners of the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board focus on meeting customers from Hunterdon and Somerset Counties where they are.
The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Service Center at 27 Warren St., second floor, in Somerville is open for in-person, career-related services 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Walk-ins are welcomed, but appointments are encouraged. Walk-in and appointment services are available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday and by appointment on Thursday and Friday at the Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center at 6 Gauntt Place in Flemington. In addition to in-person, all offices offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. A virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted at 10 a.m. Fridays, and virtual and in-person career-webinars on different topics are presented an ongoing basis by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. Construction Industry Career Day 2022 in Edison

Through the collaboration of industry associations and their labor partners, Construction Industry Career Day 2022 will be conducted on May 31 and June 1 at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center at 97 Sunfield Ave, Edison, NJ 08837.
This two-day event showcases the construction industry’s educational opportunities and occupations, while providing participants with hands-on activities within many of the trades.
Tuesday, May 31, from 4 to 8 p.m. is open to the public and welcomes veterans, underemployed, unemployed, students, parents and those looking for a new career.
Wednesday, June 1st from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. is reserved for high school students. Registration for Wednesday will close at 4 p.m. April 30 or at capacity of 2,500.
Career exploration is vital for students and others looking to make informed decisions about their career and education options. This event is designed to provide to all who attend sufficient information regarding construction career options, educational requirements, stackable and transferable credentials, wage progressions and in some cases college credits.
There is no cost to attend. Face coverings will be required.
Both days will include hands-on demonstrations from New Jersey’s construction trades, as well as display booths for colleges, trade associations, federal and state agencies.
