Career-related services offered by the partners of the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board focus on meeting customers from Hunterdon and Somerset Counties where they are.
The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Service Center at 27 Warren St., second floor, in Somerville is open for in-person, career-related services 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Walk-ins are welcomed, but appointments are encouraged. Walk-in and appointment services are available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday and by appointment on Thursday and Friday at the Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center at 6 Gauntt Place in Flemington. In-person career-related services are available Monday through Friday at the Greater-Raritan One-Stop Career Center – Employment Services and Division of Vocational Rehabilitation – at 75 Veterans Memorial Drive, Somerville. In addition to in-person, all offices offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. A virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted at 10 a.m. Fridays, and virtual and in-person career-webinars on different topics are presented an ongoing basis by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. Solar Photovoltaic Free Training Bootcamp

Middlesex College’s Office of Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning is hosting a free Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Training Bootcamp from February 5 to 9, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
The in-person bootcamp being presented at the college in Edison aims to help attendees train for entry-level jobs in this fast-growing industry. It is presented in collaboration with Dimension Renewable Energy.
Topics covered: Introduction to Solar PV; Solar PV Sales; Installation Fundamentals; Solar Photovoltaic Design; 2020, 2017, and 2014 National Electrical Code; Hands-On Equipment Exercises; and Preparation for NABCEP Photovoltaic Associate Exam.
Attendees with leave with the knowledge needed to take a certification exam and have the chance to network and interview for a job with employers who have active job openings.
