Because of the Coronavirus pandemic, in-person services had been stopped and virtual services began in March 2020 by Greater Raritan One-Stop system partners. Service procedures are now evolving to reflect the reopening of New Jersey.
The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Service Center at 27 Warren St. in Somerville is open to in-person service beginning June 15. Appointments are encouraged and customers who walk in will be accommodated as staffing levels permit. Return dates for in-person service at the Training Center at 6 Gauntt Place in Flemington and the Greater-Raritan One-Stop / Employment Services Center at 75 Veterans Memorial Drive have not been set.
As they have been since the onset of the pandemic, staff will continue to assist customers over the phone, via email and through virtual appointments, and an orientation session for new customers is conducted on Fridays. Virtual career-webinars presented by the Training Center and weekly webinars on SkillUp Greater Raritan (a program of the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board) will continue for the immediate future. Public Forum sponsored by N.J. Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services

Once a year, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS) and the State Rehabilitation Council (SRC) host public forums to provide information on available services for individuals with disabilities and receive input from the community. This year, the virtual platforms will be conducted on June 4 and June 10.
Public input will help to mold program delivery and policy to ensure that people with disabilities receive rehabilitation services that result in employment. Representatives from the DVRS and the SRC will be available to provide information on available services and document public feedback and testimony.
Topics will include:
- Service provision during the current public health emergency
- What’s working during these challenging times
- Coordination and provision of Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS)
- Service provision to individuals who have high support needs
- Other employment-related issues that impact individuals who have disabilities.
The first forum will be conducted from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 4. The registration deadline is Monday, May 31.
The second forum will be conducted from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 10. The registration deadline is Monday, June 7.
