- The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center at 8 Bartles Corner Road in Flemington is open for walk-in services with state and county partners 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday, and by appointment on Thursday and Friday, as well as phone and virtual services, excluding county holidays. - The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Services Center on the second floor of 27 Warren St. in Somerville is open for walk-in services from 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding county holidays. Call 908-541-5780 or email onestop@co.somerset.nj.us.
In addition to in-person, all offices offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. A virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted at 10 a.m. Fridays, and virtual and in-person career-webinars on different topics are presented an ongoing basis by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. Planning Pathways Series: An Overview of SSI & Medicaid for Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Planning Pathways is series of four informational webinars for families supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) being presented by the Hunterdon County Library. Two webinars in January will focus on key aspects of the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) Eligibility application process. The February sessions will address logistical and legal planning topics to help families prepare for the futures of their loved ones.
Webinar one, An Overview of SSI & Medicaid for Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. will be presented by Connor Griffin from The Arc of New Jersey from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, January 8.
Are you someone that needs help navigating the system? Griffin will discuss the basics of Social Security Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Medicaid, which is required for someone to receive services through the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). Participants will learn about why applying for SSI at age 18 can be beneficial, the different pathways to qualify for Medicaid, and the application process for both SSI and Medicaid.
