Over the past two years, career-related services offered by the partners of the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board have evolved to meet the needs of employers and job seekers in Hunterdon and Somerset counties.
The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Service Center at 27 Warren St., second floor, in Somerville is open for in-person, career-related services 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday to Friday. While appointments are encouraged, walk-ins are welcomed. Appointment-only in-person career-related services are also available 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday at the Training Center at 6 Gauntt Place in Flemington. All offices also continue to offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. In addition, a virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted on Fridays, and virtual career-webinars presented by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board continue to be scheduled. NJ Rural Health Conference on Care and Health Equity

The First Annual NJ Rural Health Conference hosted by the New Jersey Department of Health will provide information about health trends that organizers believe can help raise the standard for rural health in New Jersey.
The free event will be conducted from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022, Rutgers University Cook College Campus Student Center, 59 Biel Road New Brunswick. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. “Advancing Care and Health Equity in Rural Communities” can be attended in person or virtually.
The keynote address will be Tammy Norville, CEO of the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health. The conference will have two general sessions, six break-out sessions, and time for discussions and networking. Agenda topics include: Workforce Development; Access to Mental Health; Maternal and Child Health; and many more.
