Career-related services offered by the partners of the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board focus on meeting customers from Hunterdon and Somerset Counties where they are.
The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Service Center at 27 Warren St., second floor, in Somerville is open for in-person, career-related services 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Walk-ins are welcomed, but appointments are encouraged. Walk-in and appointment services are available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday and by appointment on Thursday and Friday at the Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center at 6 Gauntt Place in Flemington. In-person career-related services are available Monday through Friday at the Greater-Raritan One-Stop Career Center – Employment Services and Division of Vocational Rehabilitation – at 75 Veterans Memorial Drive, Somerville. In addition to in-person, all offices offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. A virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted at 10 a.m. Fridays, and virtual and in-person career-webinars on different topics are presented an ongoing basis by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. Literacy Volunteers of Somerset County Garden of Literacy Brunch and Silent Auction

The Literacy Volunteers of Somerset County’s 5th Annual Garden of Literacy Brunch and Silent Auction will be conducted on Nov. 8 at The Olde Mill In in Bernardsville. (The event was originally scheduled for April 19 but was postponed).
The event include a deluxe buffet brunch, and gift baskets in a silent auction. The Outstanding Service Award will be presented to Patricia Flannery, a LVSC Board of Trustees members since 2008.
This is the organization’s largest annual event, but it had to be moved because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The organization’s volunteers continue to tutor students virtually, and connect the students to additional community resources.
Sponsorships to the Garden of Literacy Brunch are available; tickets are $70 per person.
