The ongoing Coronarvirus (COV-19) pandemic has led to the cancellation, suspension and repurposing of programs and events in the Greater Raritan workforce system and beyond.
The monthly Jersey Job Club workshops and events usually conducted at the Somerville One Stop Career Center have been suspended.
Workshops presented in person by the Greater Raritan One Stop Career Training Center have moved to virtual platforms, as have introduction sessions on SkillUp Greater Raritan, a program of the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board (GRWDB). New virtual programs also are being developed.
In addition, all GRWDB Board and Committee meetings are being conducted virtually.
Look on the calendar for more information on all programs and meetings.

Job Search 101: Career Webinar for Literacy Students and Teachers
November 17 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Adult ESL students spend months learning a new language and news skills in order to successfully walk along a career pathway. But looking
for jobs can be challenging.
The Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board, serving Hunterdon and Somerset counties, is a resource all residents, including literacy
students, can use to get connected to local employers.
A new free workshop, Job Search 101, will introduce literacy students and teachers to the board’s resources. The event is cosponsored by the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board and Literacy Volunteers of Somerset County.
Interested community members can attend one of two upcoming webinars: 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, or 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17. This will be via GoToMeeting.
To register, RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 908-541-5790.
