- The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center at 8 Bartles Corner Road in Flemington is open for walk-in services with state and county partners 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday, and by appointment on Thursday and Friday, as well as phone and virtual services, excluding county holidays. - The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Services Center on the second floor of 27 Warren St. in Somerville is open for walk-in services from 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding county holidays. Call 908-541-5780 or email onestop@co.somerset.nj.us.
In addition to in-person, all offices offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. A virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted at 10 a.m. Fridays, and virtual and in-person career-webinars on different topics are presented an ongoing basis by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. FreeThe Jack and Ronnie McGreevey Civic Association is hosting a job fair for the residents of Hudson County at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 25. at 73 Martin Luther King Drive in Jersey City.
Employers from a range of sectors, including transportation, public safety and education. All job seekers are encouraged to register and attend, especially those with the relevant training and/or work experience needed to flourish within one of the organizations present.
The Jack and Ronnie McGreevey Civic Association was founded in 2023 by former Governor Jim McGreevey. Named after the governor’s parents, the civic association aims to alleviate the pressures of unemployment and health for Hudson County residents, while seeking to recognize those who have dedicated themselves to serving the community and achieved success in their respective professions.
The current list of attending employers includes the Jersey City Police Department, Council for Airport Opportunity, Jersey City PBOA, New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, TSA, the Newark Board of Education, PCF, NJ Transit, Primerica, Stop and Shop, Always home care, Western carriers, and BAYADA.
