- The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center at 8 Bartles Corner Road in Flemington is open for walk-in services with state and county partners 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday, and by appointment on Thursday and Friday, as well as phone and virtual services, excluding county holidays. - The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Services Center on the second floor of 27 Warren St. in Somerville is open for walk-in services from 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding county holidays. Call 908-541-5780 or email onestop@co.somerset.nj.us.
In addition to in-person, all offices offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. A virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted at 10 a.m. Fridays, and virtual and in-person career-webinars on different topics are presented an ongoing basis by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. Information Session on Shop Craft Program for Film and TV Industry

FreeIn partnership with I.A.T.S.E. Local 52, Reel Works is hosting an intensive training program to prepare rising New Jersey professionals with the skills needed to work successfully as Shop Craftpersons – a first step toward a career in the entertainment industry.
Interested individuals can learn more during an information session being conducted at 5 p.m. Thursday, December 18. The event, which includes a live question-and-answer session, is supported by Netflix.
The Shop Craft department – carpentry – builds, installs and removes all wooden structures on a set. To be considered for the training program, individuals must be 18 years or older, and have experience of using hand and power tools, and be a New Jersey resident living within a 70-mile radius of Fort Monmouth.
There is no fee for the program, and each trainee will be paid a stipend during training.
