In addition to in-person, all offices offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. A virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted at 10 a.m. Fridays, and virtual and in-person career-webinars on different topics are presented an ongoing basis by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. Ideal Institute of Technology Construction Trade Program Information Session

Through a New Department of Labor and Workforce Development Opportunity Partnership Grant, Ideal Institute of Technology in Mays Landing is offering an entry-level Construction Trade program opportunity for eligible participants.
The 16-week developmental curriculum begins June 7 and covers industrial safety, trades math, basic carpentry and electrical skills, and safety training. Throughout the program, students are prepared for employment in the building trades, with an emphasis on employer expectations. At the end of the program, students will have the opportunity to complete the following industry valued certifications like OSHA 30.
To be eligible for training in this programs, eligible participants must:
- Currently be registered with the One-Stop Career Center
- Currently receiving UI or unemployed and UI ended within the past 52 weeks or
- Eligible unemployed individuals who meet the definition of WIOA dislocated worker
- Be at 18 years of age and older
- Have a High School Diploma or HSE (High School Equivalency).
There are no charges or fees for selected candidates, and qualified graduates have placement opportunity with participating employers.
