Career-related services offered by the partners of the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board focus on meeting customers from Hunterdon and Somerset Counties where they are.
The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Service Center at 27 Warren St., second floor, in Somerville is open for in-person, career-related services 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Walk-ins are welcomed, but appointments are encouraged. Walk-in and appointment services are available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday and by appointment on Thursday and Friday at the Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center at 6 Gauntt Place in Flemington. In-person career-related services are available Monday through Friday at the Greater-Raritan One-Stop Career Center – Employment Services and Division of Vocational Rehabilitation – at 75 Veterans Memorial Drive, Somerville. In addition to in-person, all offices offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. A virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted at 10 a.m. Fridays, and virtual and in-person career-webinars on different topics are presented an ongoing basis by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. Are you unemployed and trying to figure out how to enter a new career field? Are you a professional career counselor, career coach or counselor providing support for job seekers? Are you employed but unsatisfied with your job?
ReLaunch! A New Perspective on Finding Meaningful Work in Challenging Times is a virtual workshop aimed at providing career direction for different constituents. The free event will be conducted from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, via Zoom. The presenter is author Steven Simon, Ph.D., president and CEO of Human Services Outcomes Inc., who will deliver a message of hope and action for finding job fulfillment for the rest of one’s career.
The event is sponsored by the Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center in collaboration with the New Start Career Center, a program of the John J. Helrich Center for Workforce Development at Rutgers University. It is supported by the Jewish Family Services of Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren Counties.
