Career-related services offered by the partners of the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board focus on meeting customers from Hunterdon and Somerset Counties where they are.
The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Service Center at 27 Warren St., second floor, in Somerville is open for in-person, career-related services 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Walk-ins are welcomed, but appointments are encouraged. Walk-in and appointment services are available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday and by appointment on Thursday and Friday at the Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center at 6 Gauntt Place in Flemington. In-person career-related services are available Monday through Friday at the Greater-Raritan One-Stop Career Center – Employment Services and Division of Vocational Rehabilitation – at 75 Veterans Memorial Drive, Somerville. In addition to in-person, all offices offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. A virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted at 10 a.m. Fridays, and virtual and in-person career-webinars on different topics are presented an ongoing basis by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. 70th Annual Meeting of New Jersey Academy of Science

$25The New Jersey Academy of Science’s 70th Annual Meeting will be presented from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 10 at Kean University in Union.
The event, organized in collaboration with the New Jersey Department of Labor & Workforce Development Industry Partnerships – Life Sciences Northern Team, will feature discussions on Innovating Health. Among the participants is Alie Orellana, a leader from Haleon, who will present on Clinical Trial Management and the role of #AI. Mark DeGuzman from Rutgers University will talk about translating research discoveries into real-world impact.
There also will be a panel discussion with industry leaders, focusing on career pathways and workforce development. In addition, a state Market Information representative, will provide insights on jobs and wages within this sector.
