Since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic in March 2020, workforce system services have continued to evolve to meet the needs of employers and job seekers.
The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Service Center at 27 Warren St. in Somerville is open for in-person, career-related services. Appointments are encouraged and customers who walk in will be accommodated as staffing levels permit. In-person service at the Training Center at 6 Gauntt Place in Flemington will begin the week of Aug. 9, with appointment-only services on Monday and Tuesday, and appointment and walk-in services available Wednesday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The return date for appointment-only services at the Greater-Raritan One-Stop / Employment Services Center at 75 Veterans Memorial Drive has not been set.
As they have been since the onset of the pandemic, staff will continue to assist customers over the phone, via email and through virtual appointments, and an orientation session for new customers is conducted on Fridays. Virtual career-webinars presented by the Training Center and weekly webinars on SkillUp Greater Raritan (a program of the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board) will continue for the immediate future. To schedule an appointment or for more information, call 908-541-5780 or email email@example.com for assistance.
In addition, all GRWDB Board and Committee meetings are being conducted virtually.

Career webinar: NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming): Tools for Real Life
October 20 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Are you in the midst of a job search, and want to develop better listening skills and discover ways to lead a conversation? You’ll do this and more at the virtual workshop, “NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming): Tools for Real Life.”
Neuro-Linguistic Programming was designed to take the way you view the world and flip it around so that, in a very short amount of time, you can rearrange your thinking patterns and transfer opportunity into success. This introductory training is designed to help participants understand how their minds works and most importantly make it work for each person.
The workshop, a collaborative event with the Franklin Township Public Library, will be presented by Jan Goodman, Community Outreach Specialist for the Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center Training Services.
The workshop will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, via Zoom. Registration is required. To pre-register, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
