- The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center at 8 Bartles Corner Road in Flemington is open for walk-in services with state and county partners 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday, and by appointment on Thursday and Friday, as well as phone and virtual services, excluding county holidays. - The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Services Center on the second floor of 27 Warren St. in Somerville is open for walk-in services from 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding county holidays. Call 908-541-5780 or email onestop@co.somerset.nj.us.
In addition to in-person, all offices offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. A virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted at 10 a.m. Fridays, and virtual and in-person career-webinars on different topics are presented an ongoing basis by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. Thermo Fisher Scientific is conducting an in-person Job Fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, at its facility at 755 U.S. Highway 202 North, Bridgewater.
Due to continued growth, the company is hiring for a number of first- and second-shift roles including: Machine Operators – second shift; Chemical Packagers – second shift; Bulk Set Up – first and second shift; Bulk Filling Operator (FisherPak) – second shift; Warehouse Person – first shift; and Reach Truck Operator – second shift.
Applications must be 8 years or older with a high school diploma or GED; previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is preferred.
