- The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center at 8 Bartles Corner Road in Flemington is open for walk-in services with state and county partners 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday, and by appointment on Thursday and Friday, as well as phone and virtual services, excluding county holidays. - The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Services Center on the second floor of 27 Warren St. in Somerville is open for walk-in services from 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding county holidays. Call 908-541-5780 or email onestop@co.somerset.nj.us.
In addition to in-person, all offices offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. A virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted at 10 a.m. Fridays, and virtual and in-person career-webinars on different topics are presented an ongoing basis by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. Lunch and Learn: Keeping Your Employee Handbook Current and Why it Matters

The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce Foundation, with support from the Hunterdon County Commissioners, is offering a Lunch and Learn Wednesday, June 11 at 12 p.m. on an important topic for all employers — “Keeping Your Employee Handbook Current and Why it Matters.” This workshop is for business owners, managers and HR representatives. Lunch will be provided.
The speaker, Leslie Parikh, Gebhardt & Kiefer Law Offices, will focus on how an Employee Handbook should align with today’s workplace and legal requirements to effectively communicate policies and standards. Her practice concentrates in the areas of employment law, civil rights litigation and municipal law. At the conclusion of the workshop, attendees will walk away with practical information which can be used immediately to ensure an organization’s Employee Handbook is the resource and tool that provides up to date, clear information on policies, procedures, and workplace requirements.
