  • The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center Employment Services office and the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS) office at 75 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Somerville are open for walk-in services 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding state holidays.   • The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center at 8 Bartles Corner Road in Flemington is open for walk-in services with state and county partners 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday, and by appointment on Thursday and Friday, as well as phone and virtual services, excluding county holidays.   • The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Services Center on the second floor of 27 Warren St. in Somerville is open for walk-in services from 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding county holidays. Call 908-541-5780 or email onestop@co.somerset.nj.us.

In addition to in-person, all offices offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. A virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted at 10 a.m. Fridays, and virtual and in-person career-webinars on different topics are presented an ongoing basis by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. The next information session for the employer-focused United For ALICE@Work professional development program is set for Wednesday, January 29, from 12 to 12:45 p.m.

The “Retaining Talent in 2025” program aims to assist employers with talent retention workforce strategies that foster successful outcomes for businesses and their employees. The program is an outgrowth of United Way’s #ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) initiative.

United For ALICE@Work includes:

— Company specific employee data-analysis to guide corporations in understanding their ALICE population.

— Professionally designed course with instruction (in-person or virtual) that incorporates the needs of employers throughout the curriculum.

— Tools, resources, and support for each company to develop an individualized Action Plan focusing on improving the employee experience.

— A growing library of Case Studies and Resources where companies can highlight their best practices and learn from others.

— 12 SHRM Professional Development Credits: After the successful completion of the 12-hour course.
