- The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center Employment Services office and the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS) office at 75 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Somerville are open for walk-in services 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding state holidays. - The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center at 8 Bartles Corner Road in Flemington is open for walk-in services with state and county partners 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday, and by appointment on Thursday and Friday, as well as phone and virtual services, excluding county holidays. - The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Services Center on the second floor of 27 Warren St. in Somerville is open for walk-in services from 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding county holidays. Call 908-541-5780 or email onestop@co.somerset.nj.us.
In addition to in-person, all offices offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. A virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted at 10 a.m. Fridays, and virtual and in-person career-webinars on different topics are presented an ongoing basis by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. FreeCentral Jersey Housing Resource Center (CJHRC) is presenting a webinar, “Car Leasing, Car Buying & Lemon Laws Overview,” on Thursday, May 16, from 6 to 7:15 p.m.
A car is usually the second most expensive cost after housing. During this free webinar, participants will learn important tips before they buy, lease or sell their existing car; how credit affects their interest rate; understand NJ Lemon Laws; and much more.
This is the second year this webinar is being presented – agency officials say they are bringing the subject back because the first event was so well received.
