SUMMARY:RVCC Event: Future of Opticianry
DESCRIPTION:Raritan Valley Community College’s Ophthalmic Science program will host a public presentation titled “Dream Big\, One Year Later: The Future of Opticianry in Action\,” Thursday\, February 12\, at 11:30 a.m. The event\, which is free and open to the public\, will be in the Atrium at the College’s Branchburg campus. at 118 Lamington Road. SUMMARY:Breakfast Club NJ: Preparing for an AI Interview – Regardless of your AI Expertise
DESCRIPTION:The Breakfast Club NJ will present “Preparing for an AI Interview – Regardless of your AI Expertise’” by George Pace starting at 9:30 a.m. Saturday\, February 14. The group meets in the Conference Center of the East Brunswick Public Library\, 2 Jean Walling Civic Center Drive. \nJob seekers have learned how to use AI tools like ChatGPT to refine a resume\, craft standout cover letters\, and land interviews. But employers are rapidly shifting expectations: they now want candidates who can use AI to solve real business problems\, not just boost personal productivity. In this new landscape\, interviewers will increasingly ask questions like\, “How would you use AI to solve this business problem?” – and without preparation\, those questions will be difficult to answer. \nThis new presentation shows job seekers how to get ready for that shift\, regardless of their current AI expertise. Pace will cover: \n\n2025 AI news stories that are reshaping talent and skills expectations\nHow AI will impact every phase of job search\nExplore six core activities that form the foundation of an AI journey.\n\nPace is an IT technology leader focused on extracting business value from the latest technologies\, with a particular emphasis on Artificial Intelligence. His work centers on how AI can be trusted in real-world\, governed environments\, building on the principle that “Trusted AI is Governed AI.” He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Seton Hall University and an MBA from Rutgers Business School. He shares his insights on his YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/keeppace. \nA facilitated networking session from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. will follow his session. presentation. \nA $10 fee will be collected at the door to pay for the cost of the room. \nTo RSVP for the meeting\, go to http://www.meetup.com/The-Breakfast-Club-NJ/.
