The Ophthalmic Science program is part of RVCC’s Health Science Education department. \nThe presentation will feature David Friedfeld\, owner of ClearVision Optical and a nationally recognized leader in the optical industry. Friedfeld will share insights on how opticianry is evolving amid advances in technology\, changes in healthcare delivery\, and shifting consumer expectations. \nOpticianry is a centuries-old profession in the United States\, dating back more than 250 years to Benjamin Franklin’s invention of the bifocal lens. Over time\, opticians have played a critical role in eye care\, from dispensing complex eyewear to supporting patient outcomes across a wide range of practice settings.
