DESCRIPTION:Raritan Valley Community College’s Business and Public Service Department will host “AI and the Future of Business: Strategies\, Investments\, and Opportunities\,” on Thursday\, February 11\, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the college’s Branchburg campus.  \nThe program is free and open to the public. The event will feature keynote speakers author Joseph Hudicka and business entrepreneur Jeffrey Robinson who will discuss:  \n\nThe evolution of the digital age and how AI can transform and transcend how data and information are shared \nHow and why large technology companies are investing in AI \nHow AI empowers businesses to not think of it as another digital tool\, but as a partner\, resource\, and transformational direction impacting the way businesses/organizations execute their ventures \nHow AI affects the hiring landscape \n\nHudicka is an international author\, innovator\, teacher\, speaker\, and philanthropist who is interested in accelerating critical supply chains with visibility\, transparency\, and trust. SUMMARY:GRWDB Literacy Committee Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Through policy\, oversight\, and planning\, the GRWDB ensures that workforce training and education investments are responsive to and meet the needs of employers and jobseekers and is responsible for maintaining committees to help inform decision-making around services and priorities for targeted populations. One of those includes the GRWDB’s Literacy Committee\, which works with Title II literacy providers and volunteer literacy organizations in Hunterdon and Somerset counties to ensure literacy training is connected to the other services offered in Greater Raritan’s workforce system. \nThe agenda for the February 11 meeting will a report out on the first 18 months of the First Step Basic English program\, and a discussion on how to continue coordination between partners of this and Title II literacy services.
