DESCRIPTION:Employers are invited to attend a series of webinars to learn how SkillUp Greater Raritan can be utilized to provide free upskilling training to staff. The sessions are conducted at 11 a.m. on the third Thursday of the month – on September 19\, October 17\, November 21\, and December 19\, 2024. During each session\, examples of how local employers are using the platform for training will be shared. In addition\, other business-focused programs offered by the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board (GRWDB) and state partners will be reviewed. \nSkillUp Greater Raritan using Metrix Learning® is a learning management system with more than 7\,000 courses that can be used for internal employee assessment and upskilling. Employers can choose from preset tracks or customize courses based on their department needs. Employers in Hunterdon and Somerset counties are using the platform for: \n\nNew Hires – Onboarding standards\nCareer Ascendancy – Identify skills for promotion\nManagers/Supervisors – Skill development for managers\, new and old\nTechnology Training – Ensure staff are familiar with current best practices.\n\nEmployers can have individuals or cohorts trained.
