DESCRIPTION:Somerset Commissioner Director Shanel Y. Robinson and the Somerset County Commissioners are presenting the second annual Somerset County Veterans Resource\, Job & Wellness Fair from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday\, October 16\, at the Thomas J. Kavanaugh Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 2290\,600 Washington Ave.\, Manville. \nThis event is open to those who served the country and their families\, as well as the general community. \nNearly 40 local\, county and state agencies offering information on veterans and related social services and employers looking to fill open positions in a large variety of occupations are schedule to be in attendance. The event floorplan and the list of participating agencies and employers can be viewed here. The positions being offered include full-time and part-time jobs\, ranging from banking and public safety to healthcare and county government roles. \nIn addition\, members of the Somerset County Health Department team will be on hand to provide free wellness services and general health information. Opening remarks will be given by Robinson\, an Air Force veteran. \nRegistration for the event is optional but appreciated.
