If you can’t make it those days or hours\, the Training Center is open for walk-in service five days a week\, from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday\, and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday to Friday. Appointments during those times are also available. SUMMARY:Golf Fore Literacy for Literacy Volunteers of Somerset County
DESCRIPTION:The 7th Annual Golf Fore Literacy supporting the Literacy Volunteers of Somerset County (LVSC) will begin on Monday\, July 17\, with a 1 p.m. Modified Shotgun Start. \nGolf packages start at $160 and include green frees\, golf cart\, lunch and 2-for-1 golf pages. Following the event\, a Summer Soiree will be conducted from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.\, and will feature a two-hour premium open bar\, an Italian buffet dinner and dessert under the tent. For those who don’t golf but would like to attend the dinner\, the cost is $60 per person. New this year\, there is also a beginner package to attend a one-hour golf clinic starting at 3:30 p.m. followed by a short course of golf and the Summer Soiree. The beginner package is $140 per person. \nLike so many nonprofits\, LVSC has transformed its services to a meet today’s needs. Today\, more than 300 students are learning English\, in person and remotely\,  working with 100-plus trained LVSC volunteers. BikeConnect is a bicycle rehabilitation program presented in partnership with Pops Bike Shop in Somerville; donated bicycles are repaired and given to adults who need reliable transportation for employment. \nThis program is possible only through bike donations from the community.
