DESCRIPTION:The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Employment Services office at 75 Veterans Memorial Drive in Somerville offers a free forklift certificate class on the first Thursday of each month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. throughout the year. \nThe Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) Certificate Class will enable successful participants to receive an operator’s permit from their employer upon passing a practical skills evaluation at their workplace. To take the course\, participants must have an office government ID (driver’s license\, passport\, etc.) The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center services residents of Hunterdon and Somerset counties. \nClasses in 2025 are on April 3\, May 1\, June 5\, July 3\, August 7\, September 4\, October 2\, November 6 and December 4. Participants are asked to arrive at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the class. \nClasses may fill up quickly. To register\, go to the One-Stop Career Center walk-in window and ring the bell\, or call 908-704-3000. \n
