SUMMARY:Women in Agriculture 4-H Career Night in Bridgewater and via Zoom
DESCRIPTION:Young people in seventh grade to those just out of high school (13th grade) are invited to take part in the Women In Agriculture 4-H Career Night happening from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday\, March 8. \nThis is a free hybrid event\, so young people who want to explore a career in agriculture can join via Zoom or in person at the Somerset County 4-H Center\, at 310 Milltown Road in Bridgewater. \nThis night is a marriage of two March events\, as it invites participants to celebrate International Women’s Day and engage with local women working in agriculture as part of National Agriculture Month. \nThe local speakers include: a Hunterdon County veterinarian; the manager of Duke Farms in Hillsborough; a Rutgers University animal science extension specialist; and a research associate with the New Jersey Farm Bureau. \nFor the free event\, the young attendees just need to come ready to learn and explore careers they’ve never had the opportunity to hear about. \nRegistration is required. To register\, use the QR code in this flyer or go here. Registration closes Thursday\, March 7.
