DESCRIPTION:National Manufacturing Day is an important way for the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program (NJMEP) to spread the word about the benefits that manufacturing provides to the Garden State. \nAs a supporter of Manufacturing Day\, NJMEP is working to drive awareness of manufacturing\, the career opportunities that are available\, and the advanced technologies that are driving the industry. \nThis year’s celebration on Friday\, Oct. 2\, will be virtual\, with NJMEP celebrating every New Jersey manufacturing business and essential employee. \nHighlights include a Virtual Exhibit Hall focusing on the companies supporting the industry and the manufacturers that keep the world moving; breakout sessions ranging from Manufacturing Cyber Risks to exploring Workforce Strategies; and one-on-one strategy sessions allowing participants to talk with companies via video conference. The Virtual Exhibit all runs from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.\, followed by the breakout sessions going to noon.
