DESCRIPTION:The Greater Raritan One-Stop is hosting an Experienced Talent Recruitment Event from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday\, April 30\, in the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce Center for Business & Entrepreneurship\, 119 Main St. Flemington. \nThis career fair\, presented by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board (GRWDB)\, will focus on employers with full- and part-time hiring opportunities for experienced workers\, 55 years and older. While this event is the latest in the quarterly series of recruitment events hosted by the partners\, it is open to all job seekers. \nEmployers will be available for informational discussions and more. In addition\, resources tables will feature information on programs and services available in Hunterdon County. \nThe list of participating employers as of April 10 includes Anita’s Angels\, Aunt Mary’s Dispensary\, Bon Venture Services\, BrightStar Care of Hunterdon\, Chick-fil-A of Flemington\, Hunterdon County government\, Hunterdon County Educational Services Commission\, Krapf School Bus\, Right at Home\, ShopRite of Hunterdon County\, The Arc of Hunterdon County\, UNICOM Science and Technology Park\, Winnewald Day Camp and Woolverton Inn. \nRegistration is strongly encouraged; those who pre-register may be considered for pre-scheduled on-site interviews being conducted by some of the participating employers. The registration form includes the updated list of employers with available job titles\, and instructions for resume sharing to be considered for the on-site interviews will accompany registration confirmation. DESCRIPTION:Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg will host its second annual Ophthalmic Science Career Fair\, Thursday\, April 30\, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The program\, which is free of charge\, will be conducted in the cafeteria in RVCC’s College Center (second floor). \nThe event is open to current and prospective students\, alumni\, apprentices\, licensed opticians\, and anyone interested in learning more about career opportunities within the optical field. \nRecruiters and representatives from a variety of optical businesses and organizations will be available to speak with attendees about employment opportunities\, career paths\, and the many directions available within the profession. \nEmployers interested in participating are encouraged to contact Judy Quinones\, RVCC Adjunct Instructor\, Ophthalmic Science\, at judy.quinones@raritanval.edu\, by April 15. \nRVCC offers an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Ophthalmic Science and an Ophthalmic Science Certificate – Apprenticeship Option program.
