The stress-management techniques shared in this series focus on behavioral\, social\, and cognitive coping strategies that can be used to address stressful situations at home\, work\, and interpersonal relationships. The strategies will help participants survive and thrive during the job-search process\, and in life. \nThe virtual series will run every Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. beginning on March 11 and ending April 29. \nThe class is open to residents of Somerset and Hunterdon counties and is limited to 20 participants; please note that participants must have their cameras on for every session. SUMMARY:Raritan Valley Community College Adult Learning Experience Information Session
DESCRIPTION:Adult learners ages 25 and older who are interested in starting college for the first time\, returning to school to finish a degree\, exploring a new career path\, seeking professional development\, or improving their English are invited to attend Raritan Valley Community College’s Adult Learning Experience Information Session\, Wednesday\, April 22\, from 6-8 p.m. The program will be conducted in the Atrium at the College’s Branchburg campus. \nThe event will include information about academic and certificate programs\, applying to Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC)\, learning options and support services tailored for non-traditional students\, paying for college\, and navigating financial aid resources. \nVeterans are also encouraged to attend the Information Session to learn about how they can use their education benefits to enroll at RVCC. The Manager of International and Veteran Services will be available to answer prospective students’ questions. \nTo assist students juggling work\, family\, and other responsibilities\, RVCC offers 14-week (full-term)\, 12-week\, 10-week\, and 7-week (for some programs) semesters to provide learners of all ages with a more convenient academic schedule.
