SUMMARY:Employer Webinar: Using Metrix Learning/Skillup for Staff Training
DESCRIPTION:Employers in Somerset and Hunterdon Counties are invited to attend one two webinars to learn how SkillUp Greater Raritan can be used to provide free upskilling training to staff. The sessions will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday\, March 3\, 2026\, and at 3:30 p.m. Thursday\, March 5. 2026. During each session\, there will be examples of how local employers are using the platform for staff training and participants will also learn about other GRWDB paid-training opportunities for businesses. \nEmployers may join either session by using the following link: https://meet.goto.com/510433933. \nThe SkillUp Greater Raritan Metrix Learning® platform is a free online learning-management system featuring more than 7\,000 courses\, which can be done individually or with cohorts. The courses can be used for new hires\, development for longtime workers and manager skill enhancement. The $199 per person cost of the employee training program will be covered by GRWDB grant dollars. \nEmployers can choose a preset learning path\, or they can customize the employee learning system to fit their needs. Metrix Learning® personnel will collaborate with employers to create a program that fits their learning needs. DESCRIPTION:New Jersey Employers offering careers and internships related to sustainability\, the environment and climate change are invited to participate in the NJHEPS Green Jobs Fair which is open to students and alumni from all academic disciplines and all schools across the state.   \nHosted by the New Jersey Higher Education Partnership for Sustainability (NJHEPS)\, the NJHEPS Green Jobs Fair will take place on Tuesday\, March 3\, from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Rutgers Douglass Student Center\, 100 George St.\, New Brunswick.   \nEmployers who would like to participate must register here by Feb. 16. The registration for employers is $150 Non-Profit and Government \, and $300 For-Profit. Additionally\, employers are invited to join a discussion before the fair on “Impacts of AI on Hiring: A Roundtable Discussion with the NJHEPS Eboard” from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Student Center. \nThere is no charge for students and alumni to attend. DESCRIPTION:Employers and organizations that provide pathways to employment and/or workforce training for graduating high school students and their families are invited to participate in a Vocational Employment Fair on Tuesday\, March 3\, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the North Plainfield High School Gymnasium. \nEmployer and agency participants will be assigned a table and have the opportunity to respond to questions regarding their profession and/or work\, and offer guidance\, networking\, and information on training and jobs. The event is open to employers and agencies in communities surrounding the North Plainfield School District. Presenters are invited to bring any handouts and/or visuals that may help to illustrate what their career\, employment and/or job training entails.
