SUMMARY:GRWDB Literacy Committee
DESCRIPTION:Through policy\, oversight\, and planning\, the GRWDB ensures that workforce training and education investments are responsive to and meet the needs of employers and jobseekers and is responsible for maintaining committees to help inform decision-making around services and priorities for targeted populations. One of those includes the GRWDB’s Literacy Committee\, which works with Title II literacy providers and volunteer literacy organizations in Hunterdon and Somerset counties to ensure literacy training is connected to the other services offered in Greater Raritan’s workforce system. \nThe agenda for the November 11 meeting will include updates of First Steps and Title II programs and a on a recent webinar\, Leveraging English Instruction to Build Workforce Pipelines.  Go to the GRWDB Meeting Packages page for the agenda.
