DESCRIPTION:The United States Department of Labor – Wage and Hour Division & the Women’s Bureau along with the New Jersey Department of Labor & Workforce Development and New Jersey First Lady Tammy Murphy will give a virtual presentation at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday\, March 1\, “Honoring the 30th Anniversary of FMLA and Exploring New Jersey Paid Leave Protections.” \nThe webinar is part of a nationwide commemoration led by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division\, which enforces the Family and Medical Leave Act. \nThe webinar will focus on protections under federal and state law\, including maternity leave and how it helps Black working families and other underserved communities. Among the presenters is NJDOL Commissioner Robert Asaro-Angelo. \nThe event is open to workers\, employers\, associations\, advocates\, community organizations and other New Jersey stakeholders.
